For the individual investor, I would give this book a single star.I should have seen the warning signs ... "Bloomberg Professional Library" and the author's "views are widely quoted in the financial press." Brokers may find thisvolume useful in providing market timing and trading strategies that their customers are expecting.The author targets only subjective and qualitative "insights", with very little data and no statistical analysis. If the author's job title of "quantitative strategist" is to be taken seriously, we would expect some supporting evidence (ie returns data) that the strategies produce results. Show us the yachts.
If you are looking for a quantatative discussion of analysis and models, look elsewhere. Insights in this book impress me as purest hand-waving, and the text is loaded with equivocation, suggestion and speculation.
